Had a great weekend, on my way to the beach I stopped at at the store and the parking lot had a mini car show, so I parked and walked through.
Things of note included a couple of yellow Ferrari's (please help me with identifying them, I am no good when it comes to Ferrari's). A C6 Vette with a massive turbo strapped to it (it is massive right?) and a ZR1.
That evening we made some chicken kabobs on the rooftop of my building, some lightly seasoned and some with Thai peanut sauce. Much yum!

The one on the left is a 355, the one on the right is a 360 Modena. ^^

There's a local radio station here that hosts car shows at different locations all summer, I think almost every weekend. It's an unexpected fun surprise. My wife is a pretty good sport about putting whatever planned activity on hold so I can look at cars.

Thanks, now rank them in order of least likely to catch fire :P I'm inclined to say 360>355 int his respect.
I do really like the look of the 355, almost more than I do the 360.

Lol, I had a girl in the car with me, I didn't really pose the deviation as an option, more as a statement. It was a small show though, took about 10 minutes to get some pictures and see the cars. What I should've asked though, is who put this show on and how I can hear about more, haha.

Thats not a turbo, its a centrifugal supercharger.

From the angle of the picture, your massive turbo on the C6 looks to be a supercharger. I think I can see a belt on it...but there's also a decent amount of glare, so I might not be seeing what I think I'm seeing.

Now that you mention it, it does appear to have a belt on it.

Yeah, offroadkarter pointed this out too and I think he's right and you are too, I think I see the belt too, haha.

Hoo boy, that F355 Berlinetta is just pure sex. My favorite Ferrari, ever (especially in other shades with tan interior).
You want what's likely THE best sounding Ferrari, along with one of THE best sounding engines of all time? Well you saw it; the F355. With a nice aftermarket exhaust on it, it's simply orgasmic.
Thing is, F355s have come down to ridiculously low prices these past 5+ years. When new, they were roughly $130k-$150k, and can now be had for as little as $40k (sometimes EVEN LESS!). Sometimes, they can be had for even CHEAPER than many of its "lesser" 80's predecessors (308, 328, 348).
The reason? They're maintenance nightmares. Electrical, mechanical, whatever you can think of, and nothing is cheap. The interior plastics (switchgear, vents, panels, etc) are prone to becoming sticky, and the leather on the dash, especially the passenger airbag pad, is prone to shrinking. Almost everything is in need of an overhaul, no matter how good she looks when you're standing in front of her.
Sad, I know, especially since it's my personal favorite F-Car. But there's a reason they are still people's favorite Ferrari, and a reason that people still put up with owning them, and putting the money into making them right, or at least keeping them on the road; they're not only achingly gorgeous, but the sounds they make are ear-meltingly amazing.
And to some, the beauty and the pleasure is worth all the agony in the world. I know if I had the funds, I'd gladly put up with it. =-)

I love the F355. I'd get a targa top though, in red. MMMHHHMMMM..

You are right, when I looked at that Ferrari, the F355, to me it looks like what a Ferrari should look like, I liked it better than its newer friend sitting next to it. As I was leaving the guy had it sitting idling with the exhaust aimed toward me, he never hit the throttle, but I could tell from the idle that it'd be a very orgasmic sound indeed.
I will have to figure out who organized that show and visit it again when I have more time.
Once again, it's the Ferarri that screams genuine Ferarri to me, it has the shape of the matchbox cars that I grew up with, it's the car I grew up playing in NFS2, it's the Ferrari I grew up ogling as a kid.

Agreed on the red. While I love all shades on the car, if I were to get one myself, it would simply have to be red.

It's also a C5 (pop-up headlights are a dead give away).
Also, if it's a Mallet car, DAMN!

True story. This is the second time I've had a C6 v C5 related mishap in the last couple months. I'm blaming today's on, I was barely functional all morning. But, yeah, if that's a real Mallet car....DAMN is appropriate. Only ever seen 2 other Mallett cars IRL, and they were Solstices. Now that looked to be some fun.

This is not a turbocharger. Turbochargers do not have belts attached to them.
